Growing up in my parents' hotel, I had a varied and sociable childhood and teenage years. I didn't always like the guests, as they demanded my parents' attention
and sometimes spent the night in our living room when we didn't have enough bedrooms. I learned to deal with that.
But, more importantly, the guests were often parents with their children who came to us to spend their two- or three-week vacation on, in and around Lake Sarnen. My
younger sister Alexandra and I quickly became friends with the children and spent a lot of time with them.
They also knew stories, but it was much more exciting to experience them with them. I hope to bring them joy with my father's books and photographs of his
watercolors and drawings.
