Little Hendrik, the hero of the two Swiss thrillers ‘STEINGLETSCHER’ and ‘THE SNAIL ISLET’, explores every corner of the mudflat island on his bicycle without his parents' knowledge. He encounters a man who lives alone, who reads his questions from his face and answers them before Hendrik dares to ask them.



No one knows where he comes from or how he lives. Because he is very tall, they call him the Tall Man.

STORY & PHOTO is a pensioner's adventure with two websites in German and English. My English is neither Oxford English nor the English of an old fisherman on Loch Ness. But my father understood what I was saying to him.
